Serving Ingham, Clinton, and Eaton Counties in Michigan, Rebuilding Together Tri-County strengthens the lives of our most vulnerable communities by providing low-income homeowners with critical home repairs, accessibility modifications and energy efficient upgrades. Rebuilding Together's local affiliates complete about 10,000 rebuild projects every year. As we rebuild homes, community spaces and non-profit facilities our lasting impact helps to stabilize and revitalize neighborhoods across the country. We believe that everyone deserves a safe and healthy home.

The Tri-County Affiliate is led by a volunteer board and supported financially by individual donors, corporate partners, local community churches and nonprofits, and the Capital Region Community Foundation. Repair services are provided by local volunteer groups.

 MEET OUR HOMEOWNERS!

SUZANNE M.

April 27, 2024 Rebuild Day

The front porch and step handrails at Suzanne M's home in South Lansing had rusted over time and become shaky. Suzanne, who has limited use of her right arm, could no longer safely enter and exit her home. A team of volunteers grinded down old bolts and removed the old system, then installed new steel posts and vinyl railings.  The team also cleaned gutters, unplugged downspouts, cut a fallen tree, trimmed bushes and repaired a hole in the garage ceiling.  Inside, volunteer team members installed a bathroom grab bar, a new kitchen faucet,  new register vents, and new smoke and CO detectors.

DAVID K.
April 27, 2024 Rebuild Day

David K has degrees in Fine Arts and Sociology and has lived in his Lansing home for over 30 years. He plays folk music fiddle and worked as a stringed instrument restorer. Because he is battling a serious illness and has no family in the area, a team of Rebuilding Together volunteers repaired and painted front steps and railings; installed a rear gutter/downspout; and updated smoke and CO detectors throughout the house.  David was thankful that his homecare social worker referred him to Rebuilding Together Tri-County and happy to have a safe and presentable front porch.
